Massage Policies

The Massage or Bodywork Session:

The therapist determines how best to perform a therapeutic session. Most sessions are scheduled for 60-minute appointment times.  The use of equipment in a session; such as hot packs, face cradles, or other items are at the sole discretion of the therapist. Therapists do their best to meet each client’s needs and are willing to take directives in regards to preferences of pressure and areas that you would like to have avoided.

Therapist Code of Ethics:

We hold to a strict code of ethics and behavioral guidelines standardized by the American Massage Therapy Association.

Cancellation Policy:

We request a minimum of 24-hours notice for cancellations prior to the scheduled session. A $25 missed appointment/no-show fee may be applied for appointments that are cancelled without enough notice to fill the scheduled appointment.

Disrobing for Session:

Partial or full disrobing is recommended for your massage session. We create a very safe environment and give great attention to proper draping.  Shorts can be provided if necessary.  Feel free to speak with your therapist if you have any questions or concerns.

Dr. Kemp Asks some important questions of interest to Columbus residents - Chiropractor Columbus Dr. Kemp Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What causes subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
