Your First Visit to Spine & Sports Family Chiropractic in Columbus
We realize that people researching chiropractors in Columbus, are looking for a doctor that they can feel comfortable with. That's why it is our goal to provide you with as much information as possible so you can get to know us better, as well as what you can expect in our office.
Your First Visit

During your first visit to Spine & Sports Family Chiropractic you will be greeted in an honest and friendly manner by our receptionist. You will notice an open and caring atmosphere, free of glass windows that slide closed in your face, as you often see in a doctors office.
Health History
You will tell us a little about yourself and your health concerns in one simple form. Please try to arrive just 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete this paperwork. This will insure you meet with the doctor on time and he can spend the full time allotted with you.
Bringing the basics with you will help, such as your drivers license and insurance, if you care to use it. We will call your insurance company to ask if you have coverage in our office. Most chiropractic care is covered by insurance.
Most importantly, you will not be charged for anything before you know the cost upfront. This is how we would want to be treated if we were the patient!
Consultation & Exam
Next, your visit will continue with a one on one uninterrupted consultation with Columbus Chiropractor, Dr. Kemp. After you meet our doctor, you will immediately see why he's different than most chiropractors in Columbus. If you want to know more about Dr. Kemp, please visit his bio page.
During your time with Dr. Kemp he will sit with you to discuss what your issues are and take brief notes about your visit. He may take an x-ray if he feels its necessary so he may gain additional information on your particular case. Please be prepared to discuss with the doctor your concerns and how you think you got where you are. You should also describe any lifestyle changes, or special concerns.
Treatment
After you have decided that the doctor knows all he needs to know, he may ask if you would like treatment or he may ask you to wait a day or two so he can review the notes along with the x-ray and come to a conclusion about your care. Though there is generally little or no wait in our office, you should prepare to be with the doctor uninterrupted, about half an hour.
After your first appointment, we will schedule you to see the doctor again to discuss your issues and our plan for their resolution. It is our goal that you feel in charge as you make decisions concerning your care.
On to the second visit!
